What to Expect
Welcome to the Church of Christ at Mission Viejo website. We are a church family that believes in the power of Christ working through ordinary people accomplishing the extraordinary. We have a simple faith and seek the simple truths of the Bible and call ourselves, simply, Christians. We are lovers of the Word of God and do our best to model our lives after the Word Himself, Christ our Savior.
We’re thankful that God has brought you our way. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with this site and with all that the Lord is accomplishing in our congregation, and know that we’d love to meet you. When you come to worship with us, expect to see Christ’s love in action. In the New Testament, Christ’s apostles teach us how to worship, in spirit and in truth.
On Sunday morning you may be greeted at the door and welcomed into our Sunday morning worship services at 10:30AM. Our worship service typically lasts about an hour and a half. In this time you will be able to sing a blend of contemporary songs and good classic hymns. You will be brought the Word of God through Bible readings, prayers, and a sermon. If you are a baptized believer, you’ll have an opportunity every week to commune with Christ and to partake of the Lord’s Supper (Communion).
For our families we offer many programs to encourage spiritual growth and development in all ages with Bible classes for kids at 9:30AM and at 10:30AM, concurrent with our Sunday morning sermon. Children are welcome to sit with their family during the worship service, or go to Kidz classes. There are also a nursing room and a nursery available during our Sunday morning worship hour.
What should I wear?
We don’t have a dress code. Some folks like to dress their ‘Sunday best’ for worship, and some folks feel comfortable in California Casual We know that worship is all about what is coming from your heart.
